DeyHearMe ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Oriverse. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our web application, desktop application, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication credentials via Google Sign-In or email/password through Firebase Authentication.

Audio Data: When you use our transcription services, we process your audio recordings. Audio files uploaded for transcription are temporarily stored for processing and may be retained if you enable the "Save audio files" option in your settings.

Transcription Data: We store the text output of your transcriptions (raw and professional versions) in your account for your access.

Usage Data: We track transcription minutes used per billing cycle to enforce plan limits.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve our transcription services
To process your audio into text using AI models (Whisper and Gemini)
To manage your account and billing
To send service-related notifications
To respond to support requests

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate DeyHearMe:

Google Firebase: Authentication, database, and file storage
Google Cloud Speech-to-Text: Voice transcription processing
Google Gemini: AI text processing for professional rewrites
Payment processor: Secure payment processing for subscriptions

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and follow security best practices. Authentication tokens are stored securely in your browser or OS keychain (desktop app).

5. Data Retention

Your transcription data is retained in your account until you delete it. Deleted transcripts are soft-deleted and permanently removed after 30 days. Audio files are stored based on your settings preference.

If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your data through your dashboard
Export your data (available in Settings)
Delete your transcripts individually or in bulk
Delete your account entirely
Update your profile and preferences

7. Desktop Application

The DeyHearMe desktop app processes audio locally on your device using the Whisper speech recognition model. Audio is captured only while you hold the dictation hotkey. The professional text rewrite is processed via our cloud API (Gemini). Completed transcriptions are synced to your cloud account.

8. Cookies

We use Firebase Authentication which stores session tokens in your browser's local storage. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

DeyHearMe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
